Department – Help Desk

Position - Software Support Team Member

 

This position is a 1.0 FTE for a software support team member.

We currently are looking for 2 people to join our team in our Edmonton, Alberta, Canada office.

This team member works within a Help Desk department consisting of 8-10 team members and one supervisor.  The Help Desk department operates as part of a Client Services department which further supports clients and the Help Desk department.  Both departments operate in with a true teamwork philosophy, from the physical work environment to the handling of client concerns.

 

Help Desk Responsibilities

  • Have a desire to provide our customers with outstanding technical customer service
  • Acquire and maintain current knowledge of relevant products
  • Answer clients calls and emails regarding software questions and problems
  • Provide accurate solutions to software difficulties to ensure customer productivity and satisfaction
  • Work 7.5 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with a start time between 6:00 am and 9:00 am; start time on a rotating basis

 

Training Provided in the Following Areas

  • Software training to introduce new team members to MIG software, with further basic, intermediate and advanced training to follow
  • Help Desk procedures for logging and tracking calls
  • Trouble-shooting techniques for software support

 

Requirements

  • Excellent communication, analytical and multi-tasking skills
  • Aptitude for providing positive customer service
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Previous help desk experience would be an asset OR
  • Previous school or school district employment would be an asset
  • No programming or networking involved
